PARTIAL DENTURES
Partial dentures are one way Dr. Salud can replace missing teeth. A partial denture is a removable appliance, held in place by clasps which grip the teeth. An advantage of partial dentures is that they can replace multiple missing teeth in several areas for much less than bridges or implants. Dr. Salud can also add teeth to it later on if additional teeth are lost. Although we strive to make partials as stable as possible, a little movement during chewing or talking is still likely.
FULL DENTURES
Sometimes, despite a person's best efforts, they reach a point where they no longer have any teeth and full dentures are the most popular option for replacing their teeth. In the past, a denture was held in place by the suction that the denture would develop between itself and the gums it rested on. Now, with the advent of dental implants, Dr. Salud and our team at Complete Comfort Dental can provide a superior option to just full dentures. When a full denture has two or more dental implants that it attaches to, the fit of that denture is drastically improved. This can mean the difference between a soft or liquid diet and a normal diet of solid foods. If you have a full denture and would like to improve its fit, ask us for an implant consultation.
